Every tradesperson has a public profile with verified reviews from real completed jobs. Many also carry our "Verified" badge, which means we've checked their ID and (where relevant) insurance certificates. Always read recent reviews and ask for proof of insurance before agreeing to bigger jobs.

What if a tradesperson doesn't turn up or the work is poor?

Use the "Raise a dispute" button on the job page and our team will review it within 1 business day. We can intervene with the trader, share their full job history, and remove repeat offenders from the platform.

Do I have to share my phone number to get a quote?

No. All chat and quoting happens inside MyHandyHub — you only share personal contact details if and when you're ready to book.

Can I cancel a job after posting it?

Yes. Open the job from your dashboard and click "Close job" — any tradespeople who quoted will be politely notified.

On your dashboard, set the slider anywhere from 0 to 50 miles. You'll only receive alerts for jobs posted within that distance of your registered postcode. Change it anytime.

Three things must match: (1) your trades are selected on your profile, (2) your postcode is set, and (3) your work range covers the customer's location. If all three are set and you're still quiet, the issue is usually demand in your area — share your MyHandyHub profile link to bring customers in.

How do I get the Verified badge?

From your dashboard, open "Get verified" and upload a photo of your ID and your insurance certificate. Our team reviews submissions within 1 business day. Verified traders win roughly 3× more quotes.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes — from your dashboard, go to Billing → Cancel subscription. You'll keep access until the end of your current paid period.
